There is nothing so motivating as a full-contact fight sport when it comes to getting fit!

When you first start training at Poneke Dojo the training sessions will probably extend your fitness enough.  You will feel muscles you didn’t know you had.  It’s a great idea to do some gentle fitness training between sessions to ease the stiffness you might feel.

Our Saturday fitness session is probably the opposite of ‘gentle fitness training’.  Usually a circuit and in the style of CrossFit, it’s a great way to kick off the weekend and build your physicality quickly.  If you have any injuries, back or joint problems you should let the instructor know.  This session best suits those with a degree of base-level fitness.

Our facility is well equipped with everything you need to develop your fitness and personal training is available if you aren’t sure where to start or are keen to train with someone who will encourage you to get to the next level.
