Join us for our 2026 Kyokushin Karate Summer Training Camp!

Poneke Kyokushin Dojo invites you to join us for a summer training camp at Castlepoint with training run by Shihan Chris Gower, Sensei Paul Michalik, dojo operator Rob Struthers and the Poneke dojo instructor team.
Training will begin on Friday night through to Sunday early afternoon, accommodation, breakfast/lunch/dinner and training are all included in the cost.
Only students registered with an IKO1 dojo are eligible to register – please contact us or speak to your instructor if unsure.
Price: $160.00 per person
Location: Castlepoint Holiday Park (3 Jetty Road, Castlepoint 5889) and Castlepoint Community Hall (5689 Masterton-Castlepoint Road, Whakataki 5889)

What to bring:
- Dogi + training clothes for the whole. weekend, protective gear and training towels.
- Running shoes suitable for outdoor use.
- Bedding & Towel (Castlepoint holiday park provides mattress protectors only, please bring your own pillow, sheets/sleeping bags.)
- Extra snacks for during training (protein bars, nuts, sports drinks etc).
- Any drinks/alcohol for Saturday night.
- Sunscreen, water bottle, hat.
What’s provided:
- Breakfast (Sat, Sun) Lunch (Sat, Sun) Dinner (Fri, Sat) and snacks.
- 2 Nights accommodation.
- 7 Training sessions!
Conditions:
Participants must be age 15+ unless accompanied by a parent who will train and stay with them. Training will be adult focused so only recommended for older teens.
You are welcome to join for any amount of training over the weekend however the $160.00 camp fee is required.
If you have injuries, physical limitations, allergies or anything else we should know about please inform us before we begin training.
We can only cater for some dietary requirements, if you have an allergy or medical condition which limits your diet please speak to Senpai Neneh before the camp.
