Kyokushin is famous internationally as ‘The Strongest Karate’. Kyokushin will challenge you physically and mentally. Your instructors will know your name and your goals. At every session your instructors and class mates will require you to push yourself past comfort… do one more pushup than you thought you could, jump higher, run faster, hit harder, endure more.
You will experience improved balance, flexibility, aerobic and anaerobic fitness, strength and endurance. You will learn to coordinate your upper and lower body for powerful strikes, kicks and blocks. You’ll learn kata and traditional self defence techniques as well as some very quick to learn and practical skills.
Importantly at Poneke Dojo, we believe you should enjoy training. Kyokushin classes are steeped in tradition but the culture is relaxed and friendly. Our non-traditional classes offer a fun, unique way to get fit or boost the training you do for another sport.
